Don't ever go to college. Don't become friends with Mike Henderson. Don't decide you want to be a colorist. And definitely, don't try coloring some of the aforementioned Mike's line work... just don't do it. He'll never stop asking you to color his stuff.
Check out the awesome B&W version and lots of other great stuff he'll make me color soon over at: http://mikeshenderson.blogspot.com/ PS and never ever shake a baby, unless it's filled with salt or pepper.
A few week ago Mike Henderson did a bang up job on breaking down 2001: a Space Odyssey to just 7 panels, So when he asked me to color it I jumped at the chance. I tried some new effects and other things on this one I'm very please with how it came out.
I think one of the greatest honors and artist can receive is someone is getting their work as a tattoo. I received an electronic mail dispatch from Jo yesterday showing me her new ink featuring my design! I was totally floored- what an honor -thanks for sharing Jo.
Due to a misprint in the Hexen Hammers graphic novel I was given full credit for colors in the book. I was responsible for the 1st 50 pages while the extremely talented Tom Bonvillain handled the back half of the book. Below you'll find a few of the wonderful pages Tom handled color duties on :
As you can tell Tom did a bang up job on these pages and I wanted to make sure he got credit for this great work. Check out more of his work HERE
If you haven't picked up a copy of the book featuring a great story by Ben Fisher and art by Mike Henderson head over HERE and pick one up, Thanks!
